THE HOUSE OF BALTHASAR
Balthasar, the wise man from Ethiopia, was middle-aged, swarthy, bearded, and bore the gift of Frankincense. It symbolized Balthasar's acknowledgment of Christ as High Priest and Son of God. The gift of Frankincense stood for deity, of Christ as God and His love for Man.
Christ's loving care exemplifies very well the virtue of Charity.
THE COLORS AND THE SYMBOLS OF THE BALTHASAR HOUSE.
The crown is used to symbolize Balthasar as one of the Wise Men.
Silver is the color of the Balthasar House. It symbolizes grace and sensitivity.
The Pax sign symbolizes Christ, His being Man for Others.
The Stag symbolizes Charity, that caring and thoughtful sensitivity towards others.
Members of the Balthasar House approach elders, peers, and other members of their community/society with calmness and compassion, thinking for what is best for them and reaching out with love and care. As they are sensitive and tactful, they make good critics, are unbiased and compassionate with a mature sense of justice.
THE THREE HOUSES
The Owl symbolizes Wisdom. It exemplifies intelligence in thought, words, and actions. It typifies knowledge and foresight, and the wisdom to initiate a new beginning and leads others
The Dog typifies intelligent Obedience. It seeks what is right and true, takes the trouble to understand and looks beyond the surface meaning of things. It uses its intelligence to quality things, again its own witness and uses its faith in God to do work that is necessary.
